What is art restoration?
Art conservation and restoration is defined as – “any attempt to conserve and repair architecture, paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, and objects of the decorative arts (furniture, glassware, metalware, textiles, ceramics, and so on) that have been adversely affected by negligence, willful damage, or, more usually, the inevitable decay caused by the effects of time and human use on the materials of which they are made.”
Although I am not a professional art conservator, I’ve had lots of experience touching up damaged artwork for my customers, as well as working with digital restoration artists.
